About Conference
PIC International Conference invites PhD students, young researchers, academics, as well as practitioners from different countries to discuss current issues in the area of social science. The conference will follow interdisciplinary approach focusing mainly on the topics of education, e-learning, law, bussines, economy, social inclusion as well as sustainable development.
Organizers of the conferences are Pegaso International Malta and UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, European Center for Bioethics and Quality of Life.
Conference Aims
2020 PIC International Online Conference aims to encourage discussion about topics related to Education and Digital Society. It challenges the topics of multicultural societies also from the aspects of economy and coexistence, especially in EuroMed region. The rational for the conference is based on the assumption that digital technologies act as a relevant factor of education, quality of life as well as economic prosperity, especially in the context of COVID-19 pandemics.

Important Dates
Submission of abstracts extended to 15 October 2020 (final extension)
Notification of acceptance: within 10 days after submission
The abstracts will be double-blind reviewed
Payment of the registration fee: after registration or acceptance of the abstract but before the conference dates. For attendance of the publishing consultations and workshop, the corresponding fee has to be paid in advance. Only online payment is possible.
Registration for those without an abstract/presentation and who are not registered for publishing consultations/workshops is not necessary but appreciated. In such cases, no registration fee needs to be paid.
Registration Fees
180 EUR – Participants with presentation
120 EUR – Students with presentation
60 EUR – Participation at publishing consultations and workshop (one author per abstract can attend the consultations and workshop for free, co-authors and participants without abstract submission should pay 60 EUR per person)
Note: Information about the payment status (student, participant – other, consultations) can be submitted when registering for the conference and or submitting the abstract.
Conference fee should be paid for abstract submission, and participation at publishing consultations/workshop for participants without paid presentation/abstract.
For submissions with up to 3 co-authors one (1) conference fee has to be paid, for submissions with 4 to 6 co-authors two (2) conference fees have to be paid; not more than 6 co-authors are allowed.
Members of the panels and invited guests do not pay the conference fee.
Publishing Opportunities
Abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
Authors should register and submit the abstract via conference submission system (click Register now).
The length of an abstract should be between 200 and 250 words. The content of an abstract should include information about the theoretical background, the aim of study, the research methods, and the central findings with implications.
The conference proceedings will be published online under the terms of Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0 License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/ ). It will be freely and permanently accessible online two weeks after the conference.
Registered participants with payed conference fee can attend free ZOOM sessions offering consultations on publishing opportunities. The consultations will start on September 9 and continue during September and October (every Wednesday). Registration for the consultations is available via submission system (click Register now).

How to Submit an Abstract
First, you should create your account by clicking Register & Submit.
After filling in the requested data, you will be requested to activate your account by clicking the appropriate link in the e-mail that will be sent to you and creating your password.
After you have created your account, login into the system by clicking Register & Submit and entering the email/username and the password that you defined when you created your account.
Submit your abstract in the submission form available in your account page. Also, fill in all the fields with the requested data.
Submissions should be in English.
Important note: To revise and correct your abstract after receiving the reviews, please edit the abstract with the corresponding ID number (do NOT submit a new abstract and do NOT register under a new username).
Guidelines for Presenters at Online Sessions
The guidelines for presenters are available here. Please read them carefully.
You can either present your abstract live or with a pre-recorded video presentation. In either case, live attendance of the session is required to enable quality discussion.
Video presentation can be recorded with PowerPoint. This short instructional video presents how the narration may be done, here you can find additional instruction on how to do it.
Preferably, video presentation should be exported as .mp4 video file or .ppsx Powerpoint file (see more information). The files with presentations should be uploaded to Google Drive folder.
